Pillow case dress

Okay, so I have been wanting to make a pillow case dress, so I got all the stuff and have been reading tons of blogs about it and watching youtube videos, etc and my friend at work gave me free a sewing machine. How totally cool and so exciting!
And the following is how my Friday night went down
My supplies
I got my fabric pinned up
Then I set the sewing machine up, and that is then the fear set in. I have not sewn anything in like fifteen years and it was on my Grammy old Swinger with a foot petal which of course she had convert to electric by my time. So, I set up the sewing machine
and told myself, I can go this how hard can it be? Since, I did not want to mess up this beautiful Dora fabric, okay more fabric is not in the budget, I decided to practice on an washcloth and what happened next was a matted mess and a broken needle. I am thinking I need some sewing lesson because I do remember I have a hatred relationship with the bobbin.

You’re smart to pratcice first on scraps. I have had a long hated affair with my bobbins and its holder.
